How Does a Mobile Phone Gets Dead?




  1. If the mobile phone gets dropped down on the floor or on some hard surface.
  2. If the mobile phone gets wet or is dropped in rain or water.
  3. If there is any kind of shorting in a phone ( in + and – )
  4. if after hang  the phone gets dead


Mobile Phone Dead Problem and Solution – How to Repair a Dead Mobile Phone




  • Remove the battery and see if it has been charged or not. Use a multimeter to check the voltage. The voltage should be above 3.7 volts. if it, not 3.7 volts So Use a battery booster to boost battery power and charge it again.





  • Check battery point and battery connector. If anybody has carbon deposits, then use IP Liquid to remove the clean battery point and battery connector.





  • Insert a charger and if "battery charging" is not visible and has an icon for "battery charging" but if the mobile phone is not turned ON, check the ON / OFF switch. The voltage of the on / off switch should be 2.5 to 3.5 volts. Turn off the switch if necessary, on the line of a break, if the line ON / OFF switch is seen, then jumper is killed by Google search
  • If the charging icon is not there, then check the voltage ON / OFF switch. If the voltage is between 2.5 to 3.7 volts DC, then the relay software (software flashing) on the phone.



  • If there is no voltage on the ON / OFF switch, keep an eye on ON / OFF switch. Jumper if necessary





  • Keep multimeter on buzzer mode and check battery connection + and - If the buzzer is a sound then set is low then the battery is low in the connector near the check or clears the PCB with thin PCB heat.



  • If it does not fix the fixed dead problem, then remove the PFO components and check for a brief. If it is low then replace PFO OR
  • Remove the charging connector and check the shoring. If it is low then change the connector.


Check potentially all components in dead mobile phones,




  1. Remove charging ic and check shorts if necessary.
  2. Remove Bluetooth IC and check shorts if necessary.
  3. Remove power ic and check shorts, if necessary, replace with a new one
  4. Remove the CPU and check the shorts if necessary.
  5. Remove all large electrolytic capacitors and check one by one. Change capacitor if necessary
  6. RTC (real time clock) is faulty, so some mobile phones die. It is mostly in China mobile phone. Replace RTC to fix the problem.
  7. If the mobile phone is hanged after reloading the software, then change the RTC.
  8. If the set is still dead, replace the 26 MHz crystal oscillator
  9. And due to many reasons, the phone is dead So many other options to repair that phone.
